With the American Dental Hygienists' Association help, the Maine Dental Hygienists' Association has been successful in getting the legislature to approve
our ability to take a local anesthesia course at one of our two Dental Hygiene schools
our subsequent ability to give local anesthesia
the ability to be employed in Public Health settings and get PAID for it!
the ability to be employed in unusual settings (ie: pediatrician's office)
because of these efforts , the Dental Hygiene schools are able to bill Mainecare for the students services and get paid for them
