Clinical personal on site examination, to determine oral health conditions, thus establishing future oral treatment plans and recommendations. These assessments will identify visual decay, gingival inflammation and disease risk, abnormal lesions of the mouth, tooth alignment and previous dental care.
Application of fluoride varnish to help reduce existing decay up to 80% on high-risk patients. Topical fluoride applications and fluoride rinses also available.
Individualized personal Oral hygiene instruction with the use of disclosing solution to educate clients and or parent/healthcare provider where debris/plaque is accumulating. Instructions for its removal with proper tooth brushing, tongue de-plaquing, flossing, use of a rubber tip, oral irrigator, and other relevant self-care hygiene aids.
Plaque samples from client's mouths will be evaluated under a microscope lens and the client will view on a television monitor. BANA litmus test will be performed to screen for harmful bacteria that cause bad breath and whose bacterial presence indicate increased risk of gum disease.
Temporary fillings to relieve pain to be followed-up with a visit to a dentist.
20-40 minute Oral hygiene demonstrations, with oversized mouth and toothbrush visual aids, puppet shows, scrubs dress-up, dental storybooks, activity sheets, skits, films, use of phase contrast microscope to view dental plague and ph tests of saliva. Pre and post dental quizzes.
15-45 minute workshop with Oral health instructions for healthcare
providers & teachers and all interested parties delivering daily oral care services to clients, children in Head
starts, schools, hospitals, nursing facilities and physician's offices.
